Creating managed assessments (AMP)

Create a managed assessment

Before creating a managed assessment, your assessment team and at least one managed question bank must be set up.

Select AMP, and then choose Assessment Teams.
Select a team from the list of Assessment Teams.
Click Add Resources.
Select Add Managed Assessment.

Managed assessment settings

As a team administrator or member, you can configure a managed assessment, so its settings remain consistent across all course sections. These settings apply all student taking the assessment.

Any updates made in AMP automatically apply when students start a new attempt, resume an existing attempt, or review a submission.

Setting	Details
Attempt limit	Set the maximum number of attempts, up to 20.
View submissions	Allow students to review their submissions and the correct answers. This setting is No by default.
Question point value	Show or hide point values for each question.
Randomize order	Randomize the order of all questions. This differs from Randomized Questions, which selects a subset of questions from a bank.
Time limit	Set a time limit. Unfinished attempts are auto-submitted when time expires.
Flag for review	Let students flag questions to revisit before submission.
Eliminate choices	Allow students to eliminate answer choices on certain question types.
Show calculator	Enable a basic or scientific calculator.
Show ruler	Enable a 15-cm or 6-inch ruler.
Show protractor	Enable a protractor tool.
Text to speech	Provide a toolbar with text-to-speech functionality.
Highlight text	Allow highlighting within the assessment. Highlights are temporary and not visible to instructors.
Show notepad	Enable a notepad tool.
Question review	Students can review and change answers before submission. This is automatically enabled and cannot be turned off.
Resumable	Students can resume attempts if interrupted. This is automatically enabled and cannot be turned off.
Instructor preview	Allows course admins to preview the assessment as students see it.
Availability window	Set the overall dates and times the assessment is available.
Daily submission window	Restrict submissions to a daily timeframe. This option is dependent on Availability Window.
