Overview
The document viewer allows students to review their documents and educators to annotate student assignment submissions directly through their Schoology accounts. To access the document viewer, open a document or submission.

Optionally, right-click in the document viewer to access controls.
Submission activity
Instructors can review the date and time of submission in two ways:

Comments
Instructors and students can add comments in two ways:

Note icon

Add notes directly to the document.

Notes appear in the revisions panel.

Use the Revision Notes icon to show or hide notes.

Add notes, comments, or questions about the assignment.

Attach files or audio recordings.

Sends notifications to both student and educator.

Notes added to the document using the Notes icon do not send a notification.

Compatibility limitations

Annotations made before 2017 are not supported

Submissions display a red X when using older app versions
